Suzuki Baleno


Suzuki is one of the top selling car manufacturer in India. Maruti Suzuki's Baleno was launched in India on October 2015. Baleno is India's first premium hatchback with progressive next generation smart hybrid technology. Let's see how the car is all about.

Baleno got its recent face lit in 2019 and it looks very appealing than before. The base varient of Baleno starts from 5.50 lakh and the top varient goes upto 8.90 lakh Ex-showroom. Baleno is sell through Maruti Suzuki's premium dealership called Nexa. Suzuki Baleno is available in the five varients sigma, delta, zeta, alpha and RS in both petrol and diesel while RS is available only in petrol. The petrol varient will be 1.2L whereas the diesel varient will be 1.3L. Suzuki Baleno is available in both manual and automatic transmission.

1) Exterior

From the exterior Suzuki Baleno looks very sporty. It comes with projector headlamps with daytime running lamps.The facelit model gets a new bumper with new grill which looks very appealing. Baleno also gets new 16" dual tone alloy wheels. From the rear Baleno remains unchanged.

2) Interior

The interior of the Baleno remains identical with the previous model with all black interior with silver inserts. The new is infotainment system. It now gets a 7" touchscreen infotainment system with android auto and apple carplay apart from these you can get latest updates on news and weather, it also informs you about car's status via alert.

3) Engine

The engine of the petrol varient is 1.2L while of the diesel is 1.3L. It produces power of 83.1bhp @ 6000rpm and torque of 115 Nm @ 4000rpm. The RS varient will have 1L Boosterjet Petrol Engine producing power of 101 bhp @ 5500 rpm. Baleno gives mileage of about 21 Kmpl - 26 Kmpl.

4) Safety

From safety point of view Baleno comes with ABS, EBD and dual front airbags as standard across all varients. Due to its light weight structure Baleno may not be the safest car in the segment. Baleno got 3 stars out of 5 in Euro NCAP safety test.
